ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
Sri Lanka Active is a social organization that is based in the Netherlands offering unique volunteering experiences in Sri Lanka.
We work closely together with the University of Applied Science in Tilburg. For their students of Global Development Studies we offer custom made interships in Sri Lanka.

Using this expertise we also welcome any and all volunteers of all ages and with their particular skills to come and help out on projects in Sri Lanka.
WHAT WE DO
A world where cultural differences are seen as an enrichment of human life rather than a source for misunderstanding and mistrust. A world in which people share and contribute their expertise.
By bringing volunteers in contact with local Sinhalese people and giving them a better insight into their culture we help forge a bond between humans, across cultures.

At the same time we promote self development of our volunteers so they return home global citizens.
OUR VISION
Using our decade long experience in the field of recruitement and selection, we match western volunteers with a particular skillset to different projects in Sri Lanka.
Teaching English at a local school, helping out constructing a house for the homeless, playing sports with the underprivileged, planting trees, cleaning up litter with the local youth club, or helping a family start a small business.
Both volunteers and Sinhalese people have the opportunity to learn from mutual exchange.
